  • 2025 L-F Green EDA AGM

    Wednesday, August 27. 5:30-8:30pm

Excuse the alphabet soup above, but the Lanark-Frontenac Green Electoral District Association is hosting it’s Annual General Meeting on August 27th at 5:30pm at the McMartin House, 125 Gore Street in Perth.

The local constituency associations are required to hold an AGM to elect individuals to serve on the Executive Committee. We also need volunteers to build the party locally and to support candidates during an election campaign. On top of that, it is fun to meet and hang out with other Green colleagues across the region.

Potluck finger foods…please bring your own eating utensils as well as some snack to share.  Hoping to be outdoors so lawn chair as well.

We are working on confirming a guest speaker and will keep you posted.

Please confirm your intent to attend by sending a message to marlenespruyt@gpo.ca before August 6. Don’t worry we will send reminders.

We look  forward to seeing you soon.

  • Provincial Day of Action on Litter

    May 13th – Ontario

There are actions we can all take to put litter in its proper place. You can do this by:

    • Reducing waste: giving old products new life instead of throwing them away. For example, using old containers for storage or supporting second-hand clothing stores as opposed to buying new.
    • Diverting waste: recycling or composting materials when and where possible to divert waste away from landfills. For example, by using your blue and green bins. When cleaning up litter, make sure you properly separate out recyclables.
    • Preventing waste and litter: stopping waste before it’s created, and before it has the chance to become litter. For example, by choosing to buy goods with less packaging or by bringing a reusable cup to take-out establishments that accept them.
    • Cleaning up litter: helping to keep your community clean by picking up and properly disposing of litter, or by organizing a community litter cleanup for others.
    • Properly disposing of waste: making sure anything that does belong in the trash, is securely placed in garbage bins to help keep our neighbourhoods clean.
