April 13, 2022 – Reason #50 – The Ontario Green Party will immediately double the Ontario Disability Support Program benefits.
April 14, 2022 – Reason #49 – Mental health Is health! Ontario Greens have a plan to make mental health care more Affordable, Accessible and Comprehensive, so that anyone in this province can get the care that they need.
April 15, 2022 – Reason #48 – In Ontario it is increasingly difficult for many people to find affordable housing options. This needs to change.
We have an ambitious, practical roadmap to building livable and affordable communities where everyone has a great place to live.
Our plan is based on three pillars: Connected. Affordable. Sustainable.
Greens understand that all Ontarians deserve to live in communities that are vibrant, accessible, caring and fair.
April 16, 2022 – Reason #47 – Ontario Greens announced an Affordability Action Plan to address the skyrocketing cost of living.real, sustainable solutions to these affordability challenges facing Ontarians.”
The Ontario Greens’ Affordability Action Plan will:
- Immediately address the housing affordability crisis,
- Make it more affordable for people to get around,
- Save energy and lower people’s utility bills,
- Address skyrocketing food prices
April 17, 2022 – Reason #46 – As part of our Affordability Action Plan, Ontario Greens will immediately address the Affordable Housing Crisis by:
- Expanding zoning options to increase housing supply and
- Implementing vacancy and rent controls on all units
April 18, 2022 – Reason #45 – As part of our Affordability Action Plan, will Make it more affordable for people to get around by:
- Immediately cut transit fares in half for an initial three months and
- Make it more affordable to drive and bike electric by offering rebates of up to $10k for electric cars and $1k for e-bikes and used electric cars.
April 19, 2022 – Reason #44 – Our Affordability Action Plan will Save energy and lower people’s utility bills by
- Launching a transformative green retrofit program and
- Offering real incentives to make efficient heat pumps affordable
April 20, 2022 – Reason #43 – Ontario Greens will Decriminalize Drug and Declare an Opioid Emergency in Ontario.
As part of our Mental Health Plan, the Ontario Green Party will decriminalize drug use, expand safe consumption sites, and shift funding from the justice system to healthcare. We will increase the number of consumption and treatment sites. We will declare the opioid crisis a public health emergency.
April 21, 2022 – Reason #42 – Ontario Greens will fund and promote Green innovations that will lead to new businesses, careers & better jobs.
We will Build on Ontario’s strengths in mining, in innovation, in financing and in auto manufacturing to build a strong Electric Vehicle manufacturing strategy and electric transportation industry supply chain.
We will help Ontario clean tech innovations to become world leaders in the green economy by investing $5 billion in an EV Mobility and green technology innovation fund, coupled with a $4 billion Climate Bank.
